Constructive Rebel Leadership Model
The 'constructive' part of this model aims towards a positive and beneficial outcome. The tenets are that all clients can learn and grow, mistakes are pathways to creativity and possibility, and communication is approached with authenticity and openness.
The 'rebellious' part of this model emphasizes questioning the status quo. The tenets are breaking down systems that are inequitable, approaching problem solving creatively, moving through situations with a beginner's mind, and disturbing with the goal to create more possibilities.
My leadership model is inspired and influenced by the work of Dewey, Piaget, Vygotsky, and Bruner. In particular their contribution to the Constructivist Learning Theory which states that we actively construct our own learning and meaning at all times. It is also inspired and influenced by two books, 'Leadership on the Line', by Ronald Heifetz & Marty Linsky and , 'Rebel Talent', by Francesca Gino.
